The digital twin was used in three practical areas: remote inspection, preparation away from production, and shared technical context.

Use 1: Remote inspection

Remote teams could inspect live robot behaviour without first gaining physical access to the cell. No quantified troubleshooting-time result has been approved for publication.

Use 2: Preparation away from production

Training and simulation scenarios could be explored in the mirrored environment before involving production equipment. This did not replace controller-level validation, risk assessment, or site safety procedures.

Use 3: Shared technical context

Engineering and operations teams could refer to the same timestamped state during a review. The published evidence does not quantify an improvement in incident resolution.

Long-term value

With maintained model accuracy and clear stale-state handling, the twin can support onboarding and scenario testing. Any claim about ongoing process improvement needs separate, measured evidence.
